Features
For a regular spacing
In order to be able to drain off rainwater and the various wastes, a spacing between the terrace boards is recommended and must be respected.
However, the spacing between the boards varies according to the nature of the material: natural wood or composite wood. These two materials do not have the same dimensional variation and must therefore be set to a different spacing between boards. Natural wood expands in the width direction with changes in humidity, while composite wood expands in the length direction with changes in temperature.
Suitable for all types of boards
Our engineers and Product Managers have developed the Cobra DECKSPACER to meet an expectation for a versatile, strong and durable product.
On the plan shown opposite, the Cobra Deck Spacer consists of 4 boards of 3, 4, 5 and 6 millimetres wide. These blades of different sizes allow the Deck Spacer to be used on different materials, with the adequate spacing for each type of board.
The spacers save a considerable amount of time and simplify the installation of your boards. Each spacer has 4 blades (4 thicknesses: 3, 4, 5 and 6 millimetres) which will allow you to adapt to each material and each terrace easily and quickly.
In addition, the width of each blade is 15 millimetres. This fin width also allows you to respect the positioning of the screws at the end of the board which is recommended by the DTU, at least 15 millimetres from the edge. A 2-in-1 use.
In conclusion, by placing the spacer between the sides of 2 boards, you can ensure the desired spacing and use it as a screw stop, 15mm from the end of each board.
